During the initial CBSE online admission process, typically, the submission of financial documents is not mandatory. However, some CBSE schools need parents to submit a few, especially while applying for scholarships or financial aid. PAN Card

This is not always mandatory. However, as a parent, you may need to share your PAN card photo and details for transactions with the school. In some cases, such as when you apply for certain financial aid programs, you may need the card. You may need to share only the number or submit Xerox or photocopies of your PAN card.
