CBSE School Admission Process: What are The Mandatory Documents?

CBSE online admission in Kolkata

As a new academic year comes up and parents find school admission open in Kolkata, they prepare for enrolling their children in any of the best schools out there. CBSE schools are now preferred a lot by many parents who want to provide their children with high-quality, global education. However, it is necessary to pass the CBSE school admission process properly, to get approval. These are some of the mandatory documents that must be submitted.

Identity & Age Proof

Parents must furnish proper proofs that identify their children and confirm their age. These include the Municipal Birth Certificate of their child. CBSE school admission authorities need to see the date of birth, time and location of the students as well as proof of their guardianship.

CBSE admission authorities also demand that parents submit Aadhaar Cards for both students and themselves. It is essential to do this for the admission process. Scanned copies must be uploaded and hard copies have to be shown later.

Academic Track Record

For slightly older children who come from a different school, it is also important to show proof of educational journey so far. An academic track record is necessary for this reason. Parents have to show certified report cards or progressive mark sheets from the previous grade (applicable for Class 2 and above).

Admission authorities in a top school near Maheshtala have to confirm that students have passed the previous grade and are fit to enrol for the next session in their present school.

Transfer Certificate (TC)

For any lateral entry, it is mandatory for parents to show a counter-signed Transfer Certificate or School Leaving Certificate from the previous recognised institution for their children. Proper verification is the most critical checkpoint in the CBSE school admission process.

Residential Proof

Parents must also furnish proper proofs of the residential address of themselves and their children. This can be done in the form of:

· Utility bills,

· Rent agreements, or

· Copies of passport

These can be used to verify the local address. Some schools may request some additional documents for residential verification as well.

As you can see, these are some of the non-negotiable documents that are needed for a smooth CBSE school admission process. Missing or inaccurate paperwork can instantly pause an application. Naturally, parents have to be very careful while submitting these documents during admission.
